In this exhibition, five new El Anatsui tapestries are displayed flat on the walls of the gallery, emphasising their pictorial qualities as with 2-dimensional images. El Anatsui, 2025 is the artist’s fourth such solo exhibition since his first collaboration with Axel Vervoordt at ‘Artempo: Where Time Becomes Art’ in 2007 where the monumental ‘Fresh and Fading Memories I-IV’ draped the whole façade of the Palazzo Fortuny.
